Dragonslayer’s tale is a 2d vertically scrolling shooting game, where you progress through multiple stages of enemies shooting “bullets” at you that fill the screen, and you have to survive and dodge everything that is thrown at you. In a medieval fantasy setting with inspirations from middle eastern culture.

So far only 3 levels are finished, and there are atleast 4 levels in total planned for the game.

If you encounter a problem with the UI in the web version make sure to change the resolution to 1600 or higher from the settings menu.

Changelog:

Build 10: Added cool new attack for level 2 boss. Also fixed some bugs with the backstory cutscene.

Build 11: A lot of changes. Added a third level. Particles when enemies die. Removed the graze dodge mechanic. Added a sword attack to the player. Picking up items shows the score they give you. Changed how the player's shots evolve. Added a tutorial. And other changes i probably forgot about.

Build 12 (for web version only): Fixed the third stage boss missing its theme. Fixed bug with diagonal movement speed of the player. Slightly increased size of some bullets in Stage 1. Slowed Down pickup falling speed so they are just slightly slower than the player.

Build 13: Slightly Updated Stage 3 boss' theme music. Fixed a minor bug with movement. And fixed the ui problems with the Web version.

Build 14: FINALLY Fixed an annoying bug where the fireball and spear bullets in particular would sometimes randomly disappear.

If you find any bugs or have any feedback please let me know.

good game, nice improvements, I love the focus ability to slow down and condense shots
the ability to continue but at the cost of reseting the score is great especially since the game is hard

the background and the projectiles make it hard to focus on the boss and more on dodging

and there is a bug at stage 3 when you die you can't move anymore

overall good game 👍

by dying, do you mean getting hit or continuing after losing all your lives? And were you doing something in specific when you died? The player seems to move fine after either scenario in stage 3 on my end.

I think just getting hit even if you have more lives . And I remember I was on the left side of the screen moving with the edge if it matters
